Test Pilot / Flight Test Engineer Professional Course (Fixed and Rotary Wing)

The Professional Course is the ultimate in flight test education. Graduates of this 51 week course are prepared to perform envelope expansion, civil certification, and military suitability flights meeting FAR/JAR certification or military specifications. This course is designed to equip experienced pilots and engineers with the knowledge and practical experience to certify new or modified aircraft to stringent FAR/JAR certification standards or to recommend the aircraft for specific military missions. Performance and Flying Qualities Professional Course (Fixed and Rotary Wing)

The Performance and Flying Qualities Course is offered once each year. The Course is 26 weeks long and is held from July to December. Emphasis is placed on Federal Airworthiness Regulations, the Joint Airworthiness Regulations and military standards for piloted aircraft. Full Description... 

 

Systems Professional Course (Fixed and Rotary Wing)

The Systems Professional Course is offered once each year. The Systems Flight Test Course is 24 weeks long and the course is held from January to June. Emphasis is placed on Federal Airworthiness Regulations, the Joint Airworthiness Regulations and military standards for piloted aircraft. Test Pilot / Flight Test Engineer Course (Category II) (Formerly TB-2 Course)

An eighteen-week course that covers the testing required to certify light aircraft under FAA/EASA Part 23.  The course has been modified to conform to the EASA requirements for a Category II flight test license.  Training includes at least 38 hours of flight time in twelve types of aircraft.  Testing of avionics systems, aircraft performance and flying qualities along with accompanying civil certification procedures are emphasized. Full Description...
