Spin Training Course

Course Description

This course familiarizes the pilot with the unique environment of an aircraft in a classic spin. Upright and inverted spins are demonstrated and practiced with both pro-spin and anti-spin control inputs. Different recovery techniques are practiced and evaluated. This course would be beneficial for a test pilot or acrobatic pilot who will be accomplishing intentional spins or any pilot who might inadvertently encounter a spin. The first day consists of four hours of classroom instruction, one hour of ejection seat familiarization, and two hours of cockpit familiarization. The second day consists of two spin flights; one in a DHC-1 Chipmunk or T-67M Firefly, and one in am MB-326 Impala or NDN-1T Firecracker
