Light Aircraft Flight Test Course

Course Description

A sixteen-week course that covers the performance and flying qualities tests required to evaluate light aircraft during the FAA/EASA Part 23 certification process.  Training includes 38 hours of flight time in twelve types of aircraft.  Performance, flying qualities and accompanying FAA certification procedures are emphasized.

This course is comprised of five modules (Intro, Performance I & II and Flying Qualities I & II), which allows the student the flexibility to spread the sixteen-week course over several years, if required.  During the performance and flying qualities modules, LAFTC students will attend academic classes with NTPS Professional Course students.

This course is approved for fifteen credit hours towards a Master of Science degree program from the National Flight Test Institute.
