Where to Stay?
If you want to be close to class there are some nice motels in Mojave. Lancaster is a good-sized town 30 minutes from Mojave with plenty of shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. Palmdale, 45 minutes away, has the Antelope Valley Mall and movie theaters. What to Wear?
Generally, summer and winter: casual civilian clothes (lightweight pants/jeans & shirt with a jacket/coat) and/or flight suit with jacket. Some winter days can be pretty cold so bring sweaters, coats during those months. Some summer months can be pretty hot as well; so on non-flying days, shorts and shirt are acceptable attire.
What to Bring?
Calculator, note-taking material, laptop computer (not required, but some students prefer using their own equipment vs. that of the school's for preparing briefings and reports).
