The National Test Pilot School (NTPS) would like to welcome two students from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia who are here for a six week engineering internship. Jack Lund and David Vaughan, both midshipmen in the Royal Australian Navy, are third year aeronautical engineering students at UNSW. Jack and David completed the NTPS Introduction to Fixed Wing Performance and Flying Qualities Flight Test short course during the first two weeks of their internship giving them an overview of flight test in the P&FQ arena. They will finish their internships by helping NTPS Master’s Degree Program Graduate Engineer Assistants perform work on various projects at NTPS. David commented that he appreciates the wide diversity of instructors at NTPS while Jack says that he enjoys the opportunity to gain insight in the flight test world. NTPS wishes them both good luck for their future careers in engineering and the navy!
