NTPS is pleased to announce our newest Flight Test Instructor, Matteo Brambilla. Matteo comes to us with 15 years of operational and flight test experience in the Italian Navy.

As a former Fighter/Attack Pilot on both AV-8B II+ Harrier and F-35B Lightning II aircraft, Instructor Pilot and Test Pilot for the Italian Navy, Matteo brings significant fixed-wing flight test experience to NTPS, being a former LT Col in charge of the IT Navy AV-8B and F-35B squadron Gruppo Aerei Imbarcati and the pilot for the IT Navy F-35B OT&E on ITS Cavour, becoming also the first Italian pilot to land an F-35B on board ITS Cavour, to then achieve the Carrier Qualification on the type. Matteo has earned one undergraduate degrees, one Master’s Degrees, and is a graduate of the US Navy Test Pilot School. Matteo is a welcome addition to the NTPS Instructor Team. Welcome Matteo!

Veterans and Military Benefits

NTPS is proud to announce our participation in the Department of Defense Voluntary Education Partnership program so that eligible active duty service members are able to obtain Tuition Assistance from their military branch as administered by the Department of Defense. NTPS and Politecnico di Torino sign MOU

The National Test Pilot School (NTPS) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Politecnico di Torino (Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and NTPS.  The Politecnico di Torino, a renowned Italian University of Engineering, and NTPS will collaborate in the graduate level education of aerospace engineers.  As ‘The World’s Test Pilot School’, NTPS looks forward to participating in this ground breaking educational, cultural, and technical collaboration. NTPS Instructor Adam Francki

 

Pat HpngNTPS is pleased to announce our newest Flight Test Instructor, Adam Francki. Adam comes to us with 15 years of operational and flight test experience in the Royal Australian Air Force. As a former Supervisory Captain on both AP-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon aircraft, Instructor Pilot, and Test Pilot for the RAAF Adam brings significant large aircraft fixed wing wing flight test experience to NTPS. Adam has earned two undergraduate degrees, multiple Master’s Degrees, and is a graduate of the US Air Force Test Pilot School. Adam is a welcome addition to the NTPS Instructor Team. Welcome Adam!

Brown Named NTPS President

 

Pat HpngOn behalf of the Board of Trustees, NTPS President & CEO, Dr. Allen L. (AL) Peterson is pleased to announce that Mr. James E. (JB) Brown III has been selected as the next NTPS President effective 3 September 2021. As President, Mr. Brown will be responsible for ensuring NTPS meets all facets of its Mission and Strategic Goals.

JB joined NTPS in 2016 after retiring from Lockheed Martin where he served in a numerous flight test positions in the F-117 and F-22 programs including Chief Test Pilot. While at NTPS, he served in a variety of management positons including Vice President, COO, CFO, Head of Training, and Chief FW Test Pilot Instructor.  JB also spent a few thousand hours passing on flight test knowledge to students both in the classroom and in the air. 

JB is a Fellow and Past President of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots, a Fellow in the Royal Aeronautical Society, and a member of Daedalians. He has a BS in Civil Engineering from VMI, a MS in Management from Troy State University, and is a graduate of USAF Test Pilot School class 86A.

Mr. Luca Campello will replace Brown as NTPS COO. Dr. Peterson will continue as the NTPS Chief Executive Officer focusing on Strategic Initiatives across the NTPS enterprise.
